About the Photographer - Tammie Steeves
Tammie's interest in photography started at an early age when her father gave her his little Instamatic camera at the age of 8 for a class field trip. Ever since then she has been snapping photos and upgrading her cameras. In the past she has won first and second place and honourable mentions with her photographs in the Halton Hills Photo Art Competition in the People and Landscape categories.
She was a yearbook photographer in her high school for three years capturing student/teacher candids and taking team photos. She studied photography at the University of Guelph as part of her Fine Arts program graduating with her B.A. in Fine Arts and English. After university she furthered her photography studies with night school courses at Sheridan College and recently completed a course in Adobe Photoshop. She has been "the candid photographer" at countless friends' and families' weddings. For two years she worked with photographer Melody Haffenden as her assisstant taking candid photos and building her portfolio. Distinctively Yours Photography and Videography was started by Tammie and Michael Steeves in 2006 and has been in full swing now for almost two years. Tammie says "Her approach is to capture "the moments" of your wedding day from the first preparations of the day to the late night celebrations without affecting the flow of your day too much". In the years to come these special moments caught by her will help you relive all of your precious memories of your wedding day again and again!
About the Videographer - Michael Steeves
If your tastes in video lean towards simplistic, attention to detail, and the use of traditional wedding video techniques, you should enjoy Michael's style. Your Wedding day video will be a timeless and tasteful treasure that will last for many years, and generations to come.
Your wedding day video will be shot using a High Definition (720p) or (1080i) JVC 3 CCD Pro Camcorder (GY-HD100u).The Audio tracks for your ceremony and speeches will be recorded with the use a professional Sennheiser wireless microphone system. The Reception chapter of your video will be shot using a Cool Lux on camera light fitted with a Mini-Cool Softbox (which reduces glare and hot spots.)
Your video is then edited in a simplistic and tasteful style that ensures it's longevity, and freshness. We tend to stay away from computerized graphics, that can quickly become outdated, and only use transitions that are common to a classic and romantic wedding video style. We do use a combination of black and white, and colour video, with a dash of photo-montages added in for emphasis on the moment, but that's about it.
We also offer Unedited Video's for our clients that are on a tight budget or clients who wish to edit the video themselves.
Our DVD's come packaged in a jewel case with a custom printed colour insert and a "LightScribe" photo or design on the DVD itself, which includes the bride's and groom's names and wedding date, or any other text you wish to design.
